STATEMENT

Along with the passing of time an expectation is built between what is possible and what is uncertain, it creates a tension contained within a space of its own, a gap that exists between our perception of the form and what it really is.

My approach to this uncertainty is made through slow clay processes. Forms, surfaces and time are shaped, they become tangible and structured. the process moves forward, always changing, instinctively i deal with expectations through repetition, counting.

My work explores the notions of existence through time and uncertainty, I am interested in the relation between clay as a malleable material and its defiance of gravity.
